My name is Anna Leppinen and I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) as well as the Canadian Counseling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) since 2023. I hold a Master of Arts Counseling Psychology with Yorkville University. I have an undergraduate degree in Sociology from McMasterUniversity, as well as a diploma in Social Service Work from Canadore College. I have lived, worked, and volunteered within our community for over ten years.

Connection and attachment are often perceived in our society as something that simply occurs. Rarely in life do we have the opportunity or take the time to analyse our personal driving forces, as well as speedbumps, that we encounter throughout the course of a relationship with a partner, or within ourselves in our attempts to foster relationships with others. With a simultaneous emphasis on compassion and curiosity, I strive to provide couples and their relationships the opportunity to explore, recover, and repair from tension or ruptures.

As human beings, we are meaning oriented. In saying so, to better understand ourselves, we seek out the meaning behind our own actions as well as the actions of others. Individuals within a relationship dynamic naturally assess the behaviors of their partners through the lens of their personal values, experiences, and attachment styles. My intention within my work is to allow a space for clients to both decipher and create the next chapter of their relationship. Within this next chapter, we look to redefine values such as intimacy, communication, and expectations.

When I’m not in the office or pursuing continuing education, I embrace the meditative experience of long-distance running.

I enjoy spending time with family and friends and strive to spend as much time out in our community as possible.
